that we can train the brain to deal with memory and organize the thoughts that are associated with memory. When we are able to create these techniques, it can be an essential way to teach our brain and constantly evolve within the learning experience. Why Brain Training? The brain needs care just like the body. New scientific research shows that we can improve the health and function of our brains with the right mental workouts. In a study funded by the National Institute of Health, scientists found that memory, reasoning and processing speed can be improved by brain training. Moreover, they found that cognitive improvements persisted for at least five years! Picture a library full of books. Now, picture the human brain. If you think deeply, the human brain is similar to a library. But instead of books, the brain holds "memories". The memory acts as the librarian. Like the library again, the human brain needs a system of encoding and retrieving memories ala the focus formula Dewey Decimal System. Why? Because there are times that our "librarian" is not working to the best of his abilities! Our brain fails to retrieve information, whether it is trivial or will cause embarrassment to us. Suffering from a poor memory? You may not know it but the following two often overlooked reasons might cause it: o Too much drinking of alcohol o Depression (contributes to our inability to concentrate) We need not fret more over our memory problem. We can do something to address the situation. 1) We can make it fun by turning a list
